Gore, Never Quits,

Unfortunately

Former Vice President Al Gore, is at it again. Currently in China, he is spouting global warming again. Now charging that polluters are funding Climate Research to the tune of $10 Million a year. In Gore: Polluters Manipulate Climate Info, Mr. Gore makes the claim there is a misinformation campaign aimed at Global Warming.
"There has been an organized campaign, financed to the tune of about $10 million a year from some of the largest carbon polluters, to create the impression that there is disagreement in the scientific community," Gore said at a forum in Singapore. "In actuality, there is very little disagreement."
Mr. Gore does not offer one iota of proof for this charge. Nor does he mention that:
  • his Global Warming HYPE continues to put millions of dollars in his pocket
  • he refuses to sign the same pledge that he asks of the public
  • he refuses to have a serious debate about Global Warming
  • he refuses to recognize all scientific claims which dispute his Global Warming "facts"
Instead, Mr. Gore makes remarks like this:
Gore likened the campaign to the millions of dollars spent by U.S. tobacco companies years ago on creating the appearance of scientific debate on smoking's harmful effects.

"This is one of the strongest of scientific consensus views in the history of science," Gore said. "We live in a world where what used to be called propaganda now has a major role to play in shaping public opinion."
If Mr. Gore is convinced of his "Facts", why doesn't he have an answer for James M. Taylor (senior fellow for environment policy at the Heartland Institute). Mr. Taylor wrote in Alarmist global warming claims melt under scientific scrutiny which was published in the Chicago Sun-Times June 30, 2007.
Many of the assertions Gore makes in his movie, 'An Inconvenient Truth,' have been refuted by science, both before and after he made them. Gore can show sincerity in his plea for scientific honesty by publicly acknowledging where science has rebutted his claims.
What claims you ask? Here are three for starters.
Gore claims that Himalayan glaciers are shrinking and global warming is to blame. Yet the September 2006 issue of the American Meteorological Society's Journal of Climate reported, "Glaciers are growing in the Himalayan Mountains, confounding global warming alarmists who recently claimed the glaciers were shrinking and that global warming was to blame."

Gore claims the snowcap atop Africa's Mt. Kilimanjaro is shrinking and that global warming is to blame. Yet according to the November 23, 2003, issue of Nature magazine, "Although it's tempting to blame the ice loss on global warming, researchers think that deforestation of the mountain's foothills is the more likely culprit. Without the forests' humidity, previously moisture-laden winds blew dry. No longer replenished with water, the ice is evaporating in the strong equatorial sunshine."

Gore claims global warming is causing more tornadoes. Yet the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change stated in February that there has been no scientific link established between global warming and tornadoes.
There are more, so follow the link to read the full article. Then ask yourself "Why Al Gore continues to ignore the facts, refuses to debate the issue, will not sign his own pledge and dismisses all opposing views and Scientific Research". Why does Mr. Gore use innuendo, smear tactics and fear to sell his view. Why not use facts to resolve the issue? Let's have an honest debate and reach a Scientific solution instead of a Political Mandate.
