MORE PROOF WE NEED NATIONAL VOTERS IDS?

One of the most sacred values of the United States of America is the concept of "One Man, One Vote". Voter fraud in any form is not tolerable, but when anyone votes 2 or more times, it disenfranchises all the legitimate voters.

We have seen instances of dead voters, felon voters, non-citizen and non-existant voters still on the voters rolls. In some cases these illegal non-legimate voters have actually voted. Every time this happens it diminishes all the legimate voters.

Consider the latest instance of  voter fraud from the State of Maryland, as reported by the The Baltimore Sun newspaper.

Wendy Rosen, the Democratic challenger to Republican Rep. Andy Harris in the 1st Congressional District, withdrew from the race Monday amid allegations that she voted in elections in both Maryland and Florida in 2006 and 2008.

The article claims:

State Democratic Chairwoman Yvette Lewis said an examination of voting records in Maryland and Florida showed that Rosen participated in the 2006 general election and the 2008 primaries in both states.

Not only is she accused of voting twice, once in each state, but she admitted this fact.

Rosen, 57, a Cockeysville businesswoman and Maryland voter, told The Baltimore Sun that she registered to vote in Florida several years ago in order to support a "very close friend" running for the St. Petersburg City Council and to vote on local issues there.

Is this the reason Democrats are so opposed to Voter Photo ID laws?

The comparisons of Nazis and Hitler to the Republicans seems to be an emerging theme from this Democratic convention. Yesterday, a top Democratic delegate from Kansas compared Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan to Hitler. The day before, a Democratic delegate from California compared Ryan to Nazi Joseph Goebbels.

Flordia Congresswoman and Chairman of he Democratic National Committee,Debbie Wasserman Schultz, claims she did not say what she said. DNC chair: That awful conservative newspaper misquoted me by, er, accurately writing what I said

The Washington Examiner earlier reported that Wasserman Schultz had quoted Israel’s ambassador to the US, Michael Oren, as saying “ that what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel.” Ambassador Oren released a statement yesterday evening categorically denying he’d said any such thing. Wasserman Shultz claimed in an interview on Fox shortly afterward that some conservative newspaper had “deliberately” misquoted her, and that she had never said any such thing.[Note: Video Included]
 

Actually this quote shows she did say "any such thing".

We know — and I’ve heard no less than Ambassador Michael Oren say this — that what the Republicans are doing is dangerous for Israel. They’re undermining Israel’s security by suggesting that the United States and Israel don’t have anything other than a unique and close and special relationship [Note: Video Included].

GOVERNMENT SPENDING TO CREATE JOBS

Many on the Left (most Democrats) insist that the stimulus program did not spend enough money to create enough jobs to turn the economy around. President Obama, appears ready this week to ask Congress to approve more GOVERNMENT spending to "jump start" the economy and create jobs. Now Rep. Maxine Waters Calls For A Trillion-Dollar Jobs Program. Based on her past history, I assume this means another stimulus program. One which will follow the 1st failed stimulus program.

"I’m talking about a jobs program of a trillion dollars or more. We’ve got to put Americans to work. That’s the only way to revitalize this economy. When people work they earn money, they spend that money, and that’s what gets the economy up and going."

Do we do this by giving companies government stimulus money/tax credits to hire the workers? In a similar fashion to what the 1st Stimulus did for GM and Chrysler?. Isn't this essentially putting the employees (whose jobs are created by the Government Stimulus Payment) on the Government's Payroll?

Postal workers also receive more generous health benefits than most other federal employees.

Amtrak is mostly due to lousy service and lack of public ridership (due in large part to lousy service). As for GM and Chrysler, it was the unions who benefited most from the 1st bailout.

Jimmy Hoffa, Jr is telling his Union Workers this.

"We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face: The war on workers. And you see it everywhere, it is the Tea Party. And you know, there is only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They've got a war, they got a war with us and there's only going to be one winner. It's going to be the workers of Michigan, and America. We're going to win that war," Jimmy Hoffa Jr. said to a heavily union crowd.

That's what he told the crowd as a warm-up to President Obama's address in Detroit today. Hoffa Threatens GOP At Obama Event: "Take These Son Of Bitches Out"

"President Obama, this is your army. We are ready to march. Let's take these son of bitches out and give America back to an America where we belong," Hoffa added. Obama addressed the crowd shortly after Hoffa.

"I think putting money back in the pockets of working families is the best way to get demand rising because that then means business is hiring. That means the government -- that means that the economy is growing."

Did he start to say what he really believes? That Government should pay the wages of the working families? If this would really work, why doesn't the Government pay everyone, instead of your employer paying their employees? Along that line of reasoning, if everyone worked for the Government, the economy would be back on track. The Government (oops the Taxpayers) could own everything. Then all employers would be like Government Motors (GM).

But wait, hasn't that already been done in other parts of the world? Like Russia, China, Cuba and Venezuela? Is this what is really good for America? Is this what we really want? I Don't!!

Sounds to me that the Democrats do not want to run on accomplishments or their abysmal record. They want to turn politics into Class Warfare

THE PARTY OF NO...IS THE DEMOCRATS

...Democrats in Washington still won't let a good crisis go to waste. Their current gambit is to use Hurricane Irene as a pretext to prevent spending cuts to one of Washington's most notorious boondoggles.

That quote is from the Wall Street Journal article Leveraging a Hurricane Remember it was the Democrats who claimed on the issue of the Debt Crisis, that the Republicans (especially the Tea Party) said no to every proposal of the Left. In truth this is impossible because there was no specific plan from the Democrats or the President. We only got general statements and the accusation that the Tea Party was refusing to budge on any proposal. Actually the Tea Party and the Republican lead House proposed at least 4 different plans and passed 2. All would have ended the Debt Crisis and insured that our obligations as a country were paid.

Paul Ryan and Michele Bachmann each proposed solutions which would have averted any default. However, it was the Democratic Senate and the Democrat in the White House who said no. Now they are doing it again.

DEBT CRISIS DEFAULT - BUT NOT EXACTLY

Remember a couple of weeks ago when the Democrats said the Republicans were reckless by not passing President Obama's plan? A plan, by the way, that only existed in the mind of our President, because NOTHING was ever put on paper. Well it is time to go to the "Way Back" machine for this from March 3, 2009 when President Obama said this:

"Let me say this as plainly as I can. If you buy a car from Chrysler or General Motors, you will be able to get your car serviced and repaired just like always," Obama said in a speech. "Your warranty will be safe. In fact, it will be safer than it has ever been. Because starting today, the United States will stand behind your warranty."

That does not sound like President Obama was only talking in terms of from this day forward and yet consider the latest development at Government General Motors.

General Motors Co (GM.N) is seeking to dismiss a lawsuit over a suspension problem on more than 400,000 Chevrolet Impalas from the 2007 and 2008 model years, saying it should not be responsible for repairs because the flaw predated its bankruptcy.

So let us recap. The Democrats denounce Republicans for being reckless over not approving what they demanded, but were unwilling to put specifically on paper. While the Republican House presented 3 different plans, (2 of which passed the House) and a resolution by Michele Bachmann which would have reaquired payment of all legal debts. But the Democrats are not reckless when promises made to all General Motors purchasers that their warantee claims would be paid are not going to be honored. How does that add up?

PRESIDENT OBAMA ACCUSED

Joseph Curl writing for "The WASHINGTON TIMES" asks the following question.

As we all know, the percentage of Politicians who "expand" or "bend" the truth is close to if not 100%. This is a class of people who want to please everyone. Therefore they promise things they can't or shouldn't deliver.

In the weird world that is Washington, men and women say things daily, hourly, even minutely, that they know deep down are simply not true. Inside the Beltway, we all call those utterances “rhetoric.”

RHETORIC is an interesting word!

But across the rest of the country, plain ol’ folk call ‘em lies. Bald-faced (even bold-faced) lies. Those folks have a tried-and-true way of determining a lie: If you know what you’re saying is patently false, then it’s a lie. Simple.

JAN SCHAKOWSKY SAID WHAT?

My Congresswoman, Jan Schakowsky (D-IL), says we don't know how the Social Security Trust Fund works. According to her there is apparently no LOCK BOX the payments of Social Security may be held up because there is no money.

What happened to the money which was paid into the Trust Fund all these years? Who took it out of the LOCK BOX? Why are millions of employees and self employed people still making payments in excess of what is paid out, yet there may be no money to write the checks? Why were we told that Social Security was not broke, but suddenly the Government can't make monthly payments?

It will be President Obama's decision which prohibits the payment to Social Security receipitents even if we don't raise the Debt Limit by August 2nd.

Therefore, this President Obama and the Democrats are using scare and fear to get what they want.

SOCIAL SECURITY vs DEBT LIMIT

Let me make this very clear. If by August 2nd the Debt Ceiling is not raised, there will still be money comming into the Treasury. The Secretary of the Treasury decides who and what gets paid with this money. The Secretary of the Treasury works at the pleasure of the President. Therefore, IT IS PRESIDENT OBAMA WHO WILL DECIDE IF SOCIAL SECURITY, MILITARY, AND OTHER GOVERNMENT PAYMENTS ARE MADE. Read that last sentence again.

Pop quiz.

Who decides who gets paid?

We do not have to default. We do not have to withhold Social Securtiy Checks. President Obama will decide.

Next question: why hasn't the President or any Democrat made any specific proposals (other than tax increases) which would be acceptable? Why have they not put forth on paper specific items? The Republicans have. So how does anyone negotiate without knowing what's open for discussion? To only say Social Security, Medicare and Increasing Taxes are off the table is not a plan which allows anything to move foreward.

When we the American People get actionalble specifics rather than scare tactics?

Why has the Senate, under Democrat Harry Reid, not passed a budget in 2 years? They haven't even brought a budget out of committee!

HYPOCRISY OF THE LEFT

The events in Phoenix are tragic. Six dead, 13 wounded at the hands of an apparently deranged individual. The apparent target was a Congresswoman from the 8th district of Arizona. Her name is Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ). Today she is in a Phoenix Hospital in critical condition from a gunshot wound to the left side of her head at the hands of a possibly schizophrenic individual.

This individual is described as having connections to groups which exultant the likes of Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin. These groups are also anti-Semitic, and possibly call for the violent overthrow of our Government.

Yet the facts show the "Daily Kos, a very much to the left blog has scrubbed a post to a diary by BlueBoy titled "My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now DEAD to me!". The Congresswoman BlueBoy refered to is Gabrielle Gilfords. A classmate described him as "left wing" and a "pot head" plain and simple this is the Hypocrisy of the Left.

Yet the "Daily Kos as well as many on the left continue to blame the right, and in particular "The Tea Baggers" as the cause of the actions of the gunman. At this point, it is counter-productive, hypocrisy and wrong to blame these criminal acts on the right or the "Tea Baggers".

Mary Frances Berry is former chairman of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights. Currently the Geraldine R. Segal Professor of American Social Thought and History at the University of Pennsylvania said this about the Democrats use of the label "Racist" in reference to the Tea Party Movement.

Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness. [Emphasis Mine]

ILLINOIS POLITICS HAVE GONE NATIONAL

Another writer has decided that what President Obama learned in Chicago he has taken to the White House. PHYLLIS SCHLAFLY writes in Investors Business Daily (IBD) Illinois Failures Go Nationwide Under Obama that President Obama has taken the failure of the financial policies to a National Level.

'Unsustainable" is a scary word that recently entered political discourse, coming authoritatively from Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Elmendorf. Unsustainability is the operative moniker for Barack Obama's massive deficit spending, which Elmendorf said "cannot be solved through minor tinkering."

Massive Deficit Spending, in other words spending much more than income over a period of time. How much is illustrated by this statement.

The CBO predicts an increase in our public debt from $7.5 trillion at the end of 2009 to $20.3 trillion at the end of 2020 if Obama's fiscal 2011 budget is implemented. As a percentage of gross domestic product, the debt will rise to 90% from 53%.

By the end of 2020 our current fiscal policy will almost double the National Debt in 11 years. By 2020 we will be spending 9 cents for every 10 cents of National Gross Product. This is the path of Greece. And it is ludicrous to think that the richest country in the world will be financially unable to sustain itself by 2020.

So what will be necessary to avoid this fate?

Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., sharpened the focus by asking the CBO director: "What's going to be necessary (is) either a 25% increase in taxes or a 20% reduction in spending, or some combination thereof. Is that correct?" Elmendorf replied "yes."

A 25% increase in TAXES is one choice. Think you are paying too much in Taxes now? Consider what a 25% increase would do to your family.

There is another problem with a tax increase. Once Congress gets its hands on more revenue, they find another way to spend it. Politicians don't like to give up money. On the other hand, this madness of Spend, Spend, Spend and let someone else pay for it has to stop. It must stop before we are bankrupt.

For an example of where we are headed, lets look at where Obama came from.

Illinois was the stomping ground for years for Obama, his top advisers Rahm Emanuel, Valerie Jarrett and David Axelrod, and his appointees such as Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. After they promoted themselves to Washington to run the country, other Obama associates who didn't make the cut continued to run Illinois into the ground, as the Illinois unemployment rate jumped from less than 5% to nearly 11%.

Illinois is now projected to be in a worse financial condition than California. Want proof?

Under years of Democratic leadership, Illinois has refused to honor its obligations, cut spending or trim its shockingly large deficit, which at $12 billion per year approaches nearly half its budget. As a result, Illinois' credit rating has been downgraded and it pays a massive amount in interest on its loans.

Unemployment is nearly 10% at present. Actually it is much higher. The only reason the "Official Unemployment Figure" is 9.5% is the Government has stopped counting those who have given up looking for a job. Business owners are not hiring because of the cost of doing business is uncertain. Taxes are going up. Health Insurance Tax, Business Taxes, Estate Taxes and Income Taxes are going up, but nobody knows how much. In this unsettling financial climate, employers cannot afford to hire new people.

The challenge for all of us who vote is to elect the people who will create jobs. The jobs will be created by balancing the budget and reducing the size of Government.

PRESIDENT OBAMA IS BEING DISINGENUOUS

Obama to GOP: Restore Jobless Benefits contains a video link and some of the text of President Obama's address today. It is rather shameful that he is playing partisan politics and name calling.

On Monday, he sought to cast his Republican opponents as hypocritical for having voted for extensions of unemployment benefits when his Republican predecessor, President George W. Bush, was in the White House, but not now. He accused Republican leaders of subscribing to what he called a misguided notion that providing unemployment aid to people lowers their incentive to look hard for a job.

However, the following quote is the most disingenuous, misleading, misrepresentation of the facts.

"That attitude, I think, reflects a lack of faith in the American people," Obama said. [Emphasis Mine]

Our President should be a positive influence, not practicing what can only be called highly partisan remarks. Obama knows and Harry Reid knows that an alternative Republican proposal is on the table which would allow passage of extended Unemployment Benefits. The only question is how do we pay for the $34 cost of the extension.

THE MOST ETHICAL GOVERNMENT EVER??

According to the claims during the past by many Democrats now in office, transparency, ethical government, and an end to the corruption was to occur with the past election of officials. The cry of "the most ethical Congress ever", along with "Hope and Change" was ever present. How is that working out?

"VOTE EARLY VOTE OFTEN"

The quote "Vote early, vote often." comes from President Obama's adopted Chicago. A town with which I am very familiar. I grew up in Chicago. It's is illegal; it is undemocratic; it is just plain wrong. But now a prominent liberal radio host, Ed Schultz, condones that kind of voter fraud for Tuesday's Senatorial Election in the State of Massachusetts.Ed Schultz: I'd cheat to keep Brown from winning shows just how corrupt many liberals are. They are in almost total agreement that the Conservatives Cheat all the time, but apparently it's not bad when liberals cheat.

Ed Schultz has been mentioned prominently by liberals as a someone who would be a great Democrat Party selection to be an elected member of Congress. Apparently Ed does not realize these are the same tactics that the American Voting Public despise, and condemn. The end does not justify the means. You can watch the video at the above link. WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell made the following remarks on the Senate floor Thursday regarding the importance of getting it right on health care reform:

“Senators on both sides acknowledge that the health care bill we’re considering is among the most significant pieces of legislation any of us will ever consider.

“So it stands to reason that we’d devote significant time and attention to it.

“Indeed, some would argue that we should spend more time and attention on this bill than most — if not every — previous bill we’ve considered.

“The Majority disagrees.

“Why? Because this bill has become a political nightmare for them.

“They know Americans overwhelmingly oppose it, so they want to get it over with.

“Americans are already outraged at the fact that Democrat leaders took their eyes off the ball. Rushing the process on a partisan line makes the situation even worse.

“Americans were told the purpose of reform was to reduce the cost of health care.

“Instead, Democrat leaders produced a $2.5 trillion, 2,074-page monstrosity that vastly expands government, raises taxes, raises premiums, and wrecks Medicare.

“And they want to rush this bill through by Christmas — one of the most significant, far-reaching pieces of legislation in U.S. history. They want to rush it.

• This bill has been the pending business of the Senate since the last week of November — less than four weeks ago.

• We started the amendment process two weeks ago.

• We’ve had 21 amendments and motions — less than two a day.

“Now let’s look at how the Senate has dealt with previous legislation.

“No Child Left Behind (2001):

• 21 session days or 7 weeks.

• Roll Call votes: 44

• Number of Amendments offered: 157

“9/11 Commission/Homeland Security Act (2002):

• 19 session days over 7 weeks.

• Roll Call votes: 20

• Number of Amendments offered: 30

“Energy Bill (2002):

• 21 session days over 8 weeks

• Number of Roll Call votes: 36

• Number of Amendments offered: 158

“This isn’t an energy bill. This is an attempt by a majority to take over one sixth of the U.S. economy — to vastly expand the reach and the role of government into the health care decisions of every single American — and they want to be done after one substantive amendment. This is absolutely inexcusable.

“I think Senator Snowe put it best on Tuesday:

‘Given the enormity and complexity,’ she said, ‘I don’t see anything magical about the Christmas deadline if this bill is going to become law in 2014.’

“And I think Senator Snowe’s comments on a lack of bipartisanship at the outset of this debate are also right on point.

“Here’s what she said in late November:

‘I am truly disappointed we are commencing our historic debate on one of the most significant and pressing domestic issues of our time with a process that has forestalled our ability to arrive at broader agreement on some of the most crucial elements of health care reform.
